Season Six Changes from ‘Fawlty Towers’ to ‘The Vicar of Dibley’

 In 1812 Productions, News

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are no longer able to show Fawlty Towers as our Season Six production for 2016.

We have been working hard on finding a replacement, and with a huge thanks to our director for Season Six, Loretta Bishop, we have been able to find a replacement that we are sure you will adore, three fresh episodes of The Vicar of Dibley brought to the stage at 1812.

Dear Patron,

I am writing to notify you of a change to The 1812 Theatre’s advertised 2016 program.

Unfortunately the theatre will be unable to perform the advertised Season 6 play ‘Fawlty Towers’ as the licensing rights which allow us to perform the play have been withdrawn by the copyright owner, due to the touring of a professional version of the play.

As a result the 1812 Theatre will be staging ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ as a replacement for ‘Fawlty Towers” during season 6. And the 3 episodes of The ‘Vicar of Dibley’ chosen are all different from those performed at the theatre previously in 2013.

As a result any tickets you have already booked for ‘Fawlty Towers’ have now been transferred by the theatre to now be applicable to the performance of ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ on the same date & time as your original booking. If you are happy with this change then you need do nothing – just turn up at the date & time of your original booking & your ‘Fawlty Towers’ tickets will be honored for the performance of ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ on that same date.

If however you do not wish to see ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ instead of ‘Fawlty Towers’ please contact the office on 9758-3964 or [email protected] to arrange for a refund of the ticket price.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause, an appreciate your understanding.
