Welcome!
The
1812 Theatre Limited is one of the most successful community theatre
companies in Australia with a history that spans nearly 60 years. We
present four productions every year, each running for 23 performances.

2008 started with a very
successful 1812 production of the double bill “Henna Night” and “Two Ladies and
a Chair. 1812 members also presented a short season of one-act plays in
bakery@1812 during July and Christine Grant also directed a well received
dramatised play reading of “The Killing of Sister George.” Our
four art exhibitions again proved very popular with patrons and a pleasing
number of sales were registered.

Dear Subscriber
On behalf of the Board of Management, I thank you
for supporting The 1812 Theatre during 2008 and wish everyone a happy Christmas
and a safe and prosperous New Year.
The VDL Awards were held on Sunday 7th December and we performed very
well with our entrant ‘The Lady in the Van’.
